Spring has sprung!

Easter, Valentines Day, and St. Patrick's Day have all passed. We have just returned from the "Made In Montana" show in Great Falls. Currently we are getting ready for tourist season.
Customers from all over the world stop by when they are in town visiting family and friends. They try to take as much back home as they can, and usually l make several stops before they leave.
I love to get to know our customers. The most interesting stories have been told across the glass case. There have been parachute inventors from World War II, New Yorkers with heavy accents, and our favorite the older generation. Stories from the seniors are always interesting and filled with wisdom and humor. I would never have had the opportunity to hear them if I hadn't been working here. Always friendly, and patient.
Stop by next time your in town!

Christmas is over...........
Well we surived another great Christmas Season. I have a love-hate relationship with this season! On one hand I love my customers, and it is a chance to catch up with the ones that I haven't seen for some time. I love the excitment in their eyes when picking out the perfect box of chocolate for loved ones. The busy season goes by so fast. By Christmas day I am completly exhausted! The part that I could do without is the long days... But without them we couldn't exsist.
The crazy thing is that on Christmas Eve when I am supposed to be sleeping I am thinking of all the new things I can do for the new year,  spring cleaning, goals, and new products to invent. You would think that I would put my mind on vacation for a little while... at least.
Well.. our next big holiday is Valentines day! Everything goes into pinks and reds throughout the store! Women come in the first three weeks of February, and the last three days are mostly men. It never fails.. men come in totally panicked trying to remember their wives favorites...under extreme pressure. We do our best to help them, and they usually leave feeling great relief!  Kids come in with just a few dollars trying to stretch them to get the perfect gift for their mothers. Young men come in with a lovey-dovey look on thier faces getting large red heart boxes for thier teenage girlfriends... they are so cute!
I love my job, and I will write more soon...
Sweet Dreams!

Another Day....Another Chocolate
Welcome to Charbonneau's... My name is Sheila, and I am the manager of the company. The life of a chocolatier is sweet. I hope you enjoy my thoughts each day as I "blog".
Today we are making Reindeer Noses and Reindeer poo-poo..... oh the things that we come up with! Sometimes we come up with 2-3 new ideas a day... 95 % of them never are made... but are fun to think up none the less. Amber, by trusted Assistant Manager has a very vivid imagination, as well as my 11 year-old son Curtis. If we made up everything we thought off.... it gives me the shivers to think about it! Well it's time to temper the chocolate. TTYS!
